The sales of the National Iranian Copper Industries Company (NICICO) increased by 93 percent during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 20 through December 20, 2020), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Managing Director of the company, Ardashir Sad Mohammadi said, Trend reports referring to the company’s website.
Sad Mohammadi stressed that the company's sales for the reporting period amounted to about 280 trillion rials (about $6.66 billion).
He added that while in the same period last Iranian year, the company's sales amounted to 156 trillion rials (about $3.71 billion).
The director noted that in addition, the company's sales amounted to 48.9 trillion rials (about $1.16 billion) in the 9th month (November 21 through December 20). This is an increase of 231 percent, compared to the same month last Iranian year. So, the value of company's sales amounted to 21.9 trillion rials (about $ 521 million) in the same month last Iranian year.
As reported, the NICICO increased copper anode production by 16 percent and copper cathode production by 9 percent over the past nine months.
