The volume of agricultural production in Azerbaijan in actual prices amounted to 8.4 billion manat ($4.9 billion) in 2020, which is by two percent more than in 2019, Trend reports referring to the published report of the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee.
The production in the livestock sector increased by 3.1 percent (up to 4.4 billion manat that’s $2.6 billion) while in the field of crop production - by 0.8 percent (up to 4.02 billion manat that’s $2.4 billion) in the reporting period.
The volume of agricultural production in Azerbaijan amounted to 7.8 billion manat ($4.6 billion) in 2019, which is 7.2 percent more than in 2018. At the same time, the volume of production in animal husbandry amounted to 4.08 billion manat ($2.4 billion), crop production - 3.7 billion manat ($2.2 billion).
Azerbaijan's GDP amounted to 72.4 billion manat ($42.6 billion) in 2020, which is 4.3 percent less than in 2019. The value-added in the non-oil and gas sector of the economy decreased by 2.6 percent in 2020.
