EAEU increases export of petroleum products to Turkmenistan

BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 28

The export of petroleum products to Turkmenistan from the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) has been increased, Trend reports, citing statistical data of the Eurasian Economic Commission.

From January through November 2020, 6,459 tons of petroleum products were exported to Turkmenistan, which exceeds the figure for the same period a year earlier by 20.4 percent.

The amount of the above-mentioned exports reached $ 5.5 million, which is also more than the amount received a year earlier, by 1.9 percent.

The countries exporting the mentioned volume of oil products to Turkmenistan were Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Russia. In particular, the share of Belarus in the total export amounted to $210,106, Kazakhstan-$193,519, Kyrgyzstan-$5,529, and Russia-$5.1 million.

In addition, during the reporting period, 1,500 tons of petroleum coke and bitumen were exported from Russia to Turkmenistan, for a total amount of $223,800.

Also, From January through November 2020, Russia delivered 359.5 tons of natural bitumen and asphalt to Turkmenistan, in the amount of $979,087.
