Malaysian company to support e-commerce dev't in Kazakhstan

Kazakhstan and Malaysia discussed the possibilities of interaction in the field of e-commerce, Trend reports citing the press office of Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The topic was discussed during a video conference between Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Trade and Integration and the Malaysian Aladdin company operating in halal products trade via an online platform.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the possibilities for cooperation in e-commerce, trade of halal products on the Aladdin platform, the entry of Kazakh companies to the market of Southeast Asia and of Malaysian companies to the markets of Central Asia and the Eurasian Economic Union.

The management of the company provided detailed information about the Southeast Asia market in the field of e-commerce and the halal industry, about the Aladdin platform, the registration process there, and its trading principles.

Following the video conference, an agreement was reached on the development of mutually beneficial cooperation between the parties, in particular, the elaboration of a list of Kazakh companies to bring their goods to the Southeast Asian markets, the registration of Aladdin at the Astana International Financial Center and the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between the Ministry of Trade and Integration and Aladdin company.
