The production of petrochemical products in Azerbaijan increased in 2020, Trend reports with reference to the report of the Cabinet of Ministers for 2020.
As reported, 522,000 tons of raw materials were processed in the Azerikimya PU in 2020.
Consequently, 103,300 tons of propylene, 133,200 tons of ethylene, 80,400 tons of polyethylene and 157,600 tons of other petrochemical products were manufactured, the report reads.
During the year, the actual yield of olefins at the EP-300 pyrolysis unit amounted to 45.3 percent.
During the reporting period, the urea plant produced 119,500 tons of nitrogen fertilizers, of which 40,500 tons were sold on the domestic market, 69,400 tons were exported, the report added.
