Iran declares data of exports through Mazandaran Province

A total of 619,000 tons of goods worth $954 million were exported through the customs of the Mazandaran Province (northern Iran) during the first 11 months of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2020, through February 18, 2021), Director-General of Mazandaran Province Customs Office, Ali Yousefimanesh said, Trend reports citing Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).

Yousefimanesh noted that the goods were exported to 33 countries, including Iraq, Russia, Afghanistan, the UAE, Turkmenistan, and India through the customs of Mazandaran Province over the 11 months. The exported goods were mainly dairy products, cement, rubber, kiwifruit and etc.

The director-general added that moreover, 2.41 million tons of goods worth $793 million were imported through the customs of Iran's Mazandaran Province within the mentioned period. The imported goods were mainly corn fodder, barley fodder, butter, and others. These goods were imported from 28 countries, including Russia, the UAE, Turkey, and Germany.

“In addition, 48,200 tons of goods were transited through the customs of Mazandaran Province in 11 months. This is an increase of 92 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year,” he said.

Yousefimanesh emphasized that so, empty containers, cigarettes, rubber products, drill pipes, chemicals, and wood materials were transited to free trade zones in the UAE, Iraq, Pakistan, and Iran.

According to the director-general, the revenues of the province customs for 11 months amounted to 2.68 trillion rials (about $63.9 million).
