The goods worth $333,000 were exported from Azerbaijan to France from January through February 2021, while the goods worth $20.7 million were exported in the same period of last year, Trend reports on April 8 with reference to the statistical bulletin of the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan’s import of French products reduced from $23.6 million to $20.7 million (by 12.2 percent) on an annualized basis.
The share of France in Azerbaijan's total import volume from January through February amounted to 1.29 percent compared to 1.88 percent in the same period of 2020.
The trade turnover between Azerbaijan and France amounted to $21.3 million.
Thus, the foreign trade balance of Azerbaijan and France remained negative in the reporting period and stood at $20.3 million.
Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover amounted to $24.2 billion in 2020. At the same time, export amounted to $13.4 billion, imports - $10.7 billion. As a result, the trade surplus reached almost $2.7 billion.
