New small businesses will help find jobs for several dozen residents of Georgia, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Natia Turnava said, Trend reports via Georgian media.

A project to create four small businesses was approved at a government meeting. According to Turnava, it will be implemented within the framework of the "Produce in Georgia" state program.

“Along with attracting investment, small businesses create jobs. We will try to submit such projects for approval at every government meeting,” Turnava said.

The minister listed those enterprises that will be created with state support:

1. In the village of Achinebuli, Telavi municipality (Kakheti), a refrigeration facility will be created for storing food. Some 616,000 lari ($178,888) will be invested in the enterprise.

2. In the city of Zestafoni (Imereti region) an enterprise for the production of fiberglass will be created - the investment will amount to about 2.2 million lari ($638,888). Together with the employment of several dozen people, this will help the development of the local chemical industry, the minister emphasized.

4. In the village of Ponichala, another small enterprise for the production of chemical products, in particular, detergents and cleaning agents, will appear. Investments in the project will amount to over 600,000 lari ($174,242).
