Kazakhstan boosts agriculture goods output

Kazakhstan’s agriculture, forestry, and fishery gross output amounted to 831.1 billion tenge ($1.96 billion) over the period from Jan. through Apr. 2021, which is 3 percent more compared to the same month of the last year, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

Some 821.4 billion tenge ($1.92 billion) accounted for agriculture alone including 44.7 billion ($105.07 million) accounting for plant growing, and 776.3 billion tenge ($1.8 billion) - for animal husbandry.

The increase in the agriculture, forestry, and fishery gross output during the reporting period was due to the increase of slaughter volumes of livestock and poultry in live weight by 5.3 percent, and yield of raw cow's milk by 3.4 percent.

Almaty region leads by the total value of agriculture, forestry, and fishery gross output, which reached 133.5 billion tenge ($313.5 million) from Jan. through Apr. 2021, showing a 0.5-percent increase compared to the same months of 2020.

This includes 7.7 billion tenge ($18.2 million) worth of plant growing output and 124.5 billion tenge ($292.4 million) of animal husbandry output.

Second and third places accounted for Turkestan and East Kazakhstan regions.

Agriculture, forestry, and fishery gross output in the Turkestan region amounted to 130.8 billion tenge ($307.1 million), which is 2.5 percent more than during the same period of 2020.

This includes 24.2 billion tenge ($56.8 million) worth of plant growing output and 104.4 billion tenge ($245.2 million) of animal husbandry output.

The value of agriculture, forestry, and fishery gross output in the East Kazakhstan region amounted to 94.7 billion tenge ($222.4 million), which is 2.1 percent more than during the same period of last year.

This includes 2.7 billion tenge ($6.3 million) worth of plant growing output and 91.1 billion tenge ($213.8 million) of animal husbandry output.

An increase in agriculture, forestry, and fishery gross output was observed in all 14 Kazakh regions during the reporting period.
