Iran consumed about 2.24 million tons of raw steel over the 1st month of the current Iranian year (March 21 through April 20, 2021), Trend reports citing the Iranian Steel Producers Association (ISPA).
According to the statistics, this is an increase of 7 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.
"So, 2.1 million tons of raw steel was consumed in Iran in the same month of last Iranian year," the statistics said.
Furthermore, more than 1.52 million tons of steel products were consumed in Iran within the first month, which is an increase of 8 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year, the statistics said.

According to the statistics, Iran consumed 2.95 million tons of sponge iron during the first month of current Iranian year. This is an increase of 13 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year. So, 2.6 million tons of sponge iron were consumed in Iran in the same month last Iranian year.
