The manufacturing of a number of industrial products in Iran increased during the first two months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through May 21, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports citing the statistics of Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran.
According to the statistics, vegetable oil production increased by 40.6 percent and amounted to about 333,000 tons. While the production of medicines decreased by 8.9 percent to 5.9 billion units.
“The production of washing powder decreased by 28.6 percent to 73,300 tons, as well as various paper production increased by 18.8 percent to about 163,000 tons,” the statistics said.
In addition, the production of DSP (Particleboard) increased by 4.3 percent and amounted to 1.51 million square meters, fiber production – by 32.4 percent to 3.44 million square meters, and the insecticide production – by 2.4 percent to 4,800 tons, the statistics said.
According to the statistics, industrial oils production for vehicle engines increased by 3.5 percent and amounted to 89,200 tons, soot production – by 30 percent to 26,300 tons and petrochemicals production – by 5.6 percent to 10.7 million tons.
“Moreover, the production of leather in two months, increased by 27.3 percent to 4.5 million square meters, as well as, various footwear production – by 24 percent to 15.5 million pairs,” the statistics said.
At the same time, the production of acrylic fibers increased by 56.5 percent to 500 tons, polystyrene threads – by 14.8 percent to 39,600 tons, polystyrene fibers – by 3.6 percent to 25,900 tons, cotton threads – by 44.1 percent to 41,800 tons, the statistics said.
According to the statistics, about 180,000 washing machines were produced in two months. This is an increase of 40.9 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year.
“As well as, 280,000 refrigerators were produced in Iran within the mentioned period, which is an increase of 29.6 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year,” the statistics said.
Furthermore, the production of TVs increased by 25 percent and amounted to 150,000 units, the water conditioners – by 6.3 percent to 369,000 units, the statistics said.
