By Nargiz Sadikhova - Trend:

Kazakhstan’s Aksu Technology LLP, a subsidiary of AK Altynalmas JSC, commenced commissioning work at the new Aksu gold recovery plant (GRP) located in the country’s Akmola region, Trend reports citing the company.

The purpose of commissioning work is to adjust the operation of process equipment and bring the production to design parameters. The Aksu GRP has a feed capacity of 5 million tons of ore per year.

The flow sheet of ore processing at the Aksu deposit includes a three stage crushing of ore to final particle size of 12 mm followed by a two-stage milling of crushed ore in ball mills to final particle size of P80 71 microns.

The basic cycle of the adopted sheet is the sorption leaching (CIL) of the crushed ore. Like at the Dolinnoye gold recovery plant of the Pustynnoye project, launched in 2020, the full cycle of procedure is controlled and monitored by SCADA automated control system.

Aksu GRP became the 5th plant of AK Altynalmas constructed and launched over the last 10 years.

AK Altynalmas is a full geological, mining and gold processing company.

The company has assets in four regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan: Pustynnoe project in Aktogai district of Karagandy region, Akbakai project in Moyinkum district of Zhambyl region, Mizek deposit in East Kazakhstan region, Aksu project and facilities of MMC KAZAKHALTYN JSC in Akmola region.
