Georgia reveals statistics on car exports to Azerbaijan

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 22

Azerbaijan imported 13,547 vehicles worth $91.7 million from Georgia from January through May 2021, up 4,727 vehicles or 53.5 percent from the previous year, Trend reports via the National Statistics Office.

The trade turnover between Georgia and Azerbaijan made up $408.12 million, down 0.24 percent from the previous year.

As reported, Azerbaijan’s share in Georgia’s total trade turnover was 8.1 percent.

Azerbaijan was the fourth biggest trade partner of Georgia in the reporting period, following Turkey, Russia, and China.

Georgia’s export to Azerbaijan rose by 14.6 percent to $195.50 million. Azerbaijan’s share in Georgia’s total export made up 12.7 percent. With this indicator, Azerbaijan was the third export partner of Georgia, following China and Russia.

Azerbaijan exported products worth $212.5 million to Georgia, up by 4.7 percent compared to a year earlier. Azerbaijan was the fourth biggest import partner of Georgia, with a share of 6.1 percent of Georgia’s total import.
