Review of Georgia's exports to China from January through May 2021

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 25

Tamilla Mammadova – Trend:

Georgia exported 121,031 tons of copper to China worth $217.2 million from January through May 2021, Trend reports referring to the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).

In the reporting period, Georgia also exported 1,356 tons of wine of fresh grapes worth $5.28 million to China.

Meanwhile, 33.8 tons of medical equipment and appliances worth $8.1 million were exported from Georgia to China.

During the reporting period, Georgia exported 1,699 tons of unwrought aluminum in the amount of $3.5 million to China.

Georgia also exported 4,554 tons of precious metals and concentrates worth $19.06 million to China.

During the reporting period, Georgia exported products worth $262.4 million to the Chinese market, which is 17.1 percent of total exports from Georgia.

Meanwhile, China's exports to Georgia amounted to $289.5 million, which comprises 8.3 percent of total imports to Georgia.
