Demand in the secondary market increased by 16 percent in Tbilisi in July 2021 compared to July 2019, Trend reports referring to the Colliers real estate company.
The number of sales and purchases was 3,193, an increase of 4 percent compared to July 2019. As for the money volume of the market, it grew by 6 percent and amounted to $147 million. In monetary terms, the volume of transactions increased by 21 percent compared to July 2019.
There were 1,978 transactions registered on the primary real estate market in Tbilisi, which is 2 percent less than in July 2019. At the same time, financially, the primary housing market decreased by 1 percent, secondary housing increased by 22 percent, to $48 million.
In the new real estate market in July, the economy class segment grew by 4 percent, the medium segment decreased by 21 percent, and the premium segment also decreased by 0.7 percent.
According to the results of the Colliers study, in the first half of 2021, 16,383 transactions were recorded, which is 54 percent more than in the same period in 2020, and 3 percent more than in the same period in 2019.
Despite a 3 percent increase in the number of transactions, the volume of the real estate market during this period decreased by 0.2 percent and amounted to $738 million.
