Turkmenistan imported from Austria goods worth 8.5 million Euros in the amount of 19,016 tons from January through June 2021, Eurostat told Trend.
In particular, during the reporting period, Austria exported to Turkmenistan coffee, tea, spices worth 4,242 Euros, meat, fish products, molluscs or other aquatic invertebrates worth 42,133 Euros, pharmaceutical products worth 677,327 Euros, ceramic products worth 1.1 million Euros.
Also, in 1H2021 Turkmenistan imported from Austria inorganic chemicals, organic or inorganic compounds of precious metals, of rare-earth metals, of radioactive elements or isotopes for 15,217 Euros, organic chemicals – for 3,730 Euros, nuclear reactors, boilers, machinery and mechanical appliances – for 4.1 million Euros, electrical machinery and equipment – for 114,133 Euros and articles of iron or steel – for 135,811 Euros.
At the same time, the volume of Austria’s import from Turkmenistan from January through June 2021 in value terms amounted to 23,184 Euros, while in physical terms - 0.18 tons.
Eurostat reports that Austria’s import from Turkmenistan mainly accounts for edible vegetables and certain roots and tubers, carpets, textile floor coverings and other made-up textile articles.
