Iran's private sector is seeking to invest in various sectors of Syria including IT, banking and mining sectors, said Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh, Trend reports.
Iranian ambassador in Syria has a special mission to promote private sector investment, Khatibzadeh said.
He added that Iran and Syria's strategic ties are at excellent stage, so it's necessary to expand ties and boost economic cooperation.
Recent talks between Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian and Syrian President Bashar Assad were mainly dedicated to Iran's private sector interests.
Iran's private sector has recently participated in the 4th International Trade Exhibition for rebuilding Syria in Damascus.
