Exports from Iran’s Markazi Province soar

Iran’s exports from the Markazi Province (central Iran) increased by 51 percent, during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through December 21, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Chairman of Industry, Mine, and Trade Organization of Markazi Province Saeed Jafari told IRNA, Trend reports.

Jafari noted that in total, $933 million worth of goods were exported from the province for the reporting period.

The chairman added that the province's goods were exported to 80 countries, mainly Iraq, Afghanistan, Turkey, Pakistan and the UAE.

“Main exported goods were petrochemical products, aluminum ingots, fruit juices, chemicals, etc.,” he said.

Jafari also said that over 9 months, $353 million worth of goods were imported to the Markazi Province. Imported goods were mainly alumina powder, raw materials for the production of fruit juices, cotton, equipment and spare parts.

There are more than 2,800 manufacturing enterprises operating in Markazi Province.
