BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 6. The trade turnover between Kazakhstan and the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) amounted to $1.7 billion in January 2022, which is 28.9 percent more than the same month in 2021 ($1.3 billion), Trend reports via Kazakh Committee on Statistics.
According to the committee, Kazakhstan’s exports to the EAEU countries amounted to $592.3 million in January 2022 ($440.6 million in the same month last year), while imports reached $1.1 billion ($912.4 million in January 2021).
Russia became the largest trading partner of Kazakhstan among the EAEU countries in January 2022. Trade between the two countries amounted to $1.6 billion in the reporting period, compared to $1.2 billion in January 2021. Exports from Kazakhstan to Russia amounted to $554.3 million ($395.5 million in January 2021), while imports - $1.08 billion ($850.4 million in January 2021).
The trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan amounted to $61.3 million in January 2022 ($45.07 million in January 2021). Exports from Kazakhstan amounted to $31.09 million during the reported period ($35.6 million in January 2021), while imports amounted to $30.2 million ($9.4 million).
The trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Belarus amounted to $46.6 million in January 2022 ($60.9 million in January 2021). Exports from Kazakhstan to Belarus amounted to $6.5 million ($8.8 million in January 2021), while imports reached $46.08 million ($52.1 million in January 2021).
Kazakhstan's foreign trade turnover amounted to $8.8 billion in January 2022, which is 62.6 percent more than the same month in 2021 ($5.4 billion).
Exports from Kazakhstan amounted to $6.08 billion in January 2022 ($3.2 billion in January 2021) and imports - $2.7 billion ($2.1 billion in January 2021).
