BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 9. Iran's trade turnover with Poland increased by 28 percent in value and 79 percent in volume, over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022), compared to the preceding Iranian year (March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021), the Spokesman for the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) Rouhollah Latifi said, Trend reports citing the administration.

The customs official noted that the trade turnover between Iran and Poland for the last Iranian year amounted to 22,600 tons worth about $53.2 million.

“So, Iran exported more than 18,000 tons of goods worth $24.1 million to Poland last Iranian year, which is an increase of 115 percent in value and 145 percent in volume, compared to the preceding Iranian year,” he added.

According to Latifi, the main exported goods were chemicals, raisins, fruit juice, dates, fabric, car spare parts, glass, fruits and greens, barberry, oil products, construction materials, etc.

The spokesman also pointed out that Iran imported 4,540 tons of goods worth $29.1 million from Poland within last Iranian year. Imports decreased by 4 percent in value and 14 percent in volume compared to the preceding Iranian year.

Latifi said that the imported goods were mainly tractors, mining equipment, beet seeds, antioxidants, drilling rigs, combines, medical equipment, etc.
