TEHRAN, Iran, May 10. The Iranian government is to pay bread and medicine subsidies to people separately, said Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi, Trend reports citing IRNA.
"Details of subsides payment process will be announced by the officials. There is ongoing reform in subsidies policy to have a fair payment system," he said.
He pointed out that the following policy seeks to pay subsidies to consumers after payment to producers and importers.
Following the rise in bread prices, the Iranian government announced that flour subsidies are expected to be paid to traditional bakeries, and people would also receive subsidies on their bank cards to buy traditional bread based on the previous rate.
