BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 11. Iran's trade turnover with Bosnia and Herzegovina decreased by 42 percent in value and 39 percent in volume in the 1st month of the current Iranian year (March 21 through April 20, 2022), compared to the same month last Iranian year, the Spokesman for the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) Rouhollah Latifi told Trend.

According to Latifi, the trade turnover between the two countries for the first month amounted to 458 tons worth $537,000.

“Meanwhile, in the 1st month last Iranian year (March 21 through April 20, 2021), the figure stood at 754 tons worth $931,000,” he added.

The spokesman noted that Iran exported 412 tons of goods worth $485,000 to Bosnia and Herzegovina over the 1st month, which is a decrease of 47 percent in value and 43.7 percent in volume compared to the same month last Iranian year.

Whereas Iran's exports to Bosnia and Herzegovina for the first month last Iranian year amounted to 732 tons worth about $920,000, Latifi said.

The customs official also pointed out that Iran imported about 46 tons of goods worth $51,900 from Bosnia and Herzegovina in the 1st month, which is an increase of 345 percent in value and 104 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.

“So, Iran's imports from Bosnia and Herzegovina for the first month last Iranian year amounted to 22.5 tons worth $11,600,” he noted.
