BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 6. Iran and Qatar will sign a document on support for the private sector on June 6, 2022, Iranian Energy Minister and Co-Chair of the Iran-Qatar Joint Economic Cooperation Commission Ali Akbar Mehrabian said, Trend reports via the ministry.
Mehrabian noted that the document will be signed at the 8th meeting of the Iran-Qatar Joint Economic Cooperation Commission in Doha.
The minister also added that the private sector of both countries has an effective role in increasing trade turnover and can be effective in economic relations between the two countries.
According to him, Iran's new government has made it a priority to improve relations with neighboring states, including Qatar. In this regard, support for the private sector can contribute to the development of economic relations.
"The Qatari market is a very important market for Iranian businessmen. At present, the most important issue for businessmen in the economy is the existence of a profitable, reliable market," Mehrabian said.
