BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 22. The iron ore pellet production by nine major Iranian companies increased by 7 percent, during the first four months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through July 22, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports citing Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).
According to the report, these companies produced about 12.8 million tons of iron ore pellets over four months. The figure stood at 11.9 million tons in the same period last Iranian year.
"Within 4 months, the Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company produced 3.68 million tons of iron ore pellets, Middle East Mines Industries Development Holding Company (MIDHCO) – 2.39 million tons, Sangan Mining Industries Company – 1.58 million tons, Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company – 1.18 million tons, Opal Parsian Sangan Industrial and Mining Company – 1.18 million tons," the report said.
In addition, Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company produced 1.1 million tons of iron ore pellets, Central Iron Ore Company of Iran – 1.09 million tons tons, Sanabad Inclusive Development Industrial and Mining Company – about 392,000 tons, and Sabanour Mining and Industrial Development Company – 165,000 tons within the mentioned period.
Furthermore, the mentioned 9 companies supplied 4.94 million tons of iron ore pellets to local companies in 4 months.
