BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 23. The production volume of iron ores in Kazakhstan amounted to 33.2 million tons from January through July 2022, which is 11.7 percent less than during the same period of 2021, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

According to the data, iron ores production amounted to 4.2 million tons in July 2022, which is 22 percent less than in July 2021.

Production of copper ores grew by 6.2 percent compared to the same period last year, having amounted to 76.3 million tons (12.02 million tons in July 2022, an increase by 32.6 percent compared to the same month in 2021).

Production of zinc and copper ores amounted to 3.2 million tons during the reporting period, which indicates an increase of 6.8 percent compared to the same period of last year.

The production volume of zinc and copper ores was 511,000 tons in July 2022, which is 24 percent more than in July 2021.

Production of gold ores amounted to 22.2 million tons over the reporting period, which is 18 percent more than during the same period of 2021. The volume of gold ores produced in July 2022 was 3.06 million tons, which is 4.6 percent less than in July 2021.

Production of lead and zinc ores amounted to 5.2 million tons, which is 10.6 percent more than during the same period of 2021 (789,700 tons in July 2022, up by 23.4 percent compared to July 2021).

As reported, the production of manganese ores amounted to 215,500 tons, which is 69.9 percent less than during the same period of 2021 (24,500 tons in July 2022, a decrease of 75.2 percent compared to July 2021).

Production of chrome ores amounted to 3.5 million tons, which is 6.7 percent more than during the same period of 2021 (619,000 tons in July 2022, an increase of 34.4 percent compared to July 2021).
