BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 3. The manufacturing of various vehicles in Iran increased by 6 percent, during the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through September 22, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of the Iranian Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade.
A total of 516,206 various vehicles, including passenger cars, pickups, vans, minibuses, buses, trucks and trailers were manufactured in the country in 6 months.
Of this, more than 87 percent was accounted for passenger cars. Thus, about 449,564 passenger cars were manufactured in Iran within the mentioned period, which is an increase of 1 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.
In addition, 51,340 pickups were manufactured in the country over six months, which is an increase of 45 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.
Moreover, 1,386 vans were manufactured in the country for the reporting period, which is a 583-percent increase compared to the same period last Iranian year.
At the same time, 476 minibuses were manufactured in Iran in 6 months, which is a decrease of 5 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.
In 6 months, 524 buses, 12,916 trucks and trailers were manufactured in the country. This is an increase of 182 percent compared to the same period of last Iranian year.
