TEHRAN, Iran, October 5. Iran’s export to Africa increased by 50 percent during the first half of the current Iranian year (started March 21,2022), said head of the Department of African Affairs in the Iranian Trade Promotion Organization (TPO) Mohammad Sadegh Ghanadzadeh, Trend reports citing Mehr News Agency.
The country’s export volume had a 25-percent growth during this period, which indicates the increase in trade between Iran and Africa, he said.
"Iran's government plans to diversify its export for African market and form joint commissions between Iran and African countries to create the proper ground for trade," he noted.
According to the official, more than 100 trade delegations from African countries have visited Iran during the first half of the current Iranian year and the government plans to pursue free trade agreements with African countries.
