BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 13. Generally, Iran's non-oil trade turnover with Kazakhstan amounted to 453,000 tons worth $155 million during the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through September 22, 2022), Director General of the International Cooperation Department of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), Hossein Kakhaki told Trend.
The director general noted that Iran exported 272,000 tons of non-oil products worth $75 million to Kazakhstan in 6 months. He added that Kazakhstan ranked 4th in Iran's non-oil exports to Caspian countries for the reporting period.
“Moreover, Iran imported 181,000 tons of goods worth $80 million from Kazakhstan within six months, and Kazakhstan ranked the 2nd in Iran’s imports from Caspian countries,” Kakhaki said.
In total, Iran's non-oil exports amounted to more than 51.7 million tons worth about $24.3 billion during the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through September 22, 2022). This is an increase of 13.3 percent in value, while a decrease of 12.5 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.
Iran's trade turnover with the Caspian littoral states amounted to about 1.75 million tons worth about $881 million, during the first three months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through June 21, 2022).
Meanwhile, Iran's imports for 6 months amounted to 16.3 million tons worth $26 billion, which is an increase of 13 percent in value, while a decrease of 14.7 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.
