BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 21. The phosphate concentrate production of Iran’s Esfordi Phosphate Industrial & Mineral Complex in Yazd Province increased by about 12 percent during the first eight months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through November 21, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports citing Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).
During 8 months, the complex produced a total of 44,299 tons of phosphate concentrate.
Meanwhile, in the same period last Iranian year, the figure stood at 39,728 tons.
As for the complex’s phosphate concentrate production in the 8th month of the current Iranian year (October 23 through November 21, 2022), the production amounted to 5,473 tons on the mentioned month, which is an increase of 7 percent compared to the same month of the last Iranian year (5,124).
At the same time, the complex extracted 191,245 tons of minerals in 8 months, which a decrease of 14 percent compared to the same period of the last Iranian year (222,584 tons).
In addition, the complex extracted 18,563 tons of minerals in the 8th month of the current Iranian year. This is a decrease of 36 percent compared to the same month of the last Iranian year (28,943 tons).
The Esfordi Industrial & Mineral Complex is one of the affiliated companies of the IMIDRO and is located in 34 kilometers of Bafq County of Iran’s Yazd Province.
