BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 16. A number of large and strategically important factories are currently being built in Iran’s Ilam Province in the west of the country, Chairman of the Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of Ilam Province Reza Mohammad Rahimi told IRNA, Trend reports.
Among the mentioned plants, according to Rahimi, are: "NGL-3100", "Mini NGL", Dehloran Petrochemical Company’s plant, steel ingot production plant and so on.
Rahimi added that the launch of these plants will bring about a big turnaround in the province both in terms of employment and income.
According to him, a total of 820 trillion rials (about $19.5 billion) will be spent on construction of large industrial plants in the province.
“After the launch of the mentioned plants, Iran's Ilam Province will become one of the country's main centers for the petrochemical production,” Rahimi said.
As reported, there are 479 industrial and manufacturing enterprises in Iran’s Ilam Province. Of them, 339 are active, while 140 are inactive. Overall, 280 trillion rials (about $6.7 billion) has been spent on these enterprises.
