BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 25. Iran’s non-oil exports through the customs of Khuzestan Province (south-western Iran) amounted to approximately 15.2 million tons worth over $5.92 billion, during the first 11 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through February 19, 2023), Customs Inspector of Khuzestan Province Behrouz Gharabeigi told reporters, Trend reports citing ISNA.

Gharabeigi said that the non-oil exports through the province’s customs for the reporting period did not change in value, while increased by 2 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.

The official added that various petrochemical products, agricultural products, steel, construction materials, foodstuff and so on were the main exported goods through the province’s customs in 11 months.

According to him, the mentioned non-oil products were mainly exported to the UAE, Iraq, China, Türkiye, Russia, Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Generally, there are 11 customs offices in Iran’s Khuzestan Province. At the same time, Iran's Khuzestan Province has 7 ports of strategic importance from an economic point of view. The mentioned ports play key role in export, import and transit of the country.
