BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 16. Iran Small Industries and Industrial Parks Organization (ISIPO) plans to provide loans worth 6 trillion rials (about $143 million) to small industrial enterprises in the country, during the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through March 19, 2023), Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran and Head of ISIPO, Ali Rasoulian told IRNA, Trend reports.

According to Rasoulian, the intended loans will be provided to small industrial enterprises with less than 100 employees.

The deputy minister noted that 2 trillion rials (about $47.6 million) of the mentioned loans will be provided by the organization's own funds, while 4 trillion rials (about $95.2 million) by the relevant banks. The aim is to eliminate the problems faced by small industrial enterprises such as lack of working capital, lack of raw materials, insufficient funds for the purchase of equipment.

“During the period of the current government in Iran (which has been in power since August 2021), the activity of 3,100 industrial enterprises have been resumed in the country,” he also said.

At present, there are 851 industrial parks in Iran. Overall, 55,000 industrial enterprises operate in these industrial parks and more than 1 million people work there.
