BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 5. Iran's imports increased by 10.8 percent in value and 6.18 percent in volume, during the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through July 22, 2023), compared to the same period in the last year, Trend reports.
According to the data of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), Iran imported a total of 11.8 million tons worth of $19.5 billion in 4 months.
Over 4 months, Iran mainly imported corn feed worth $1.29 billion, mobile phones worth $700 million, soybean seeds worth $647 million, sunflower oil worth $593 million, and rice worth $584 million.
So, Iran imported goods worth approximately $5.82 billion from the UAE, approximately $5.56 billion from China, $2.09 billion from Türkiye, $718 million from India and $704 million from Germany within the mentioned period.
Overall, the value of Iran's non-oil trade turnover was more than $35.4 billion in 4 months.
