Iran's non-oil exports to Uzbekistan on rise

BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 13. Iran’s non-oil exports to Uzbekistan grew by 18.7 percent in value and 20.8 percent in volume during the first ten months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2023 through January 20, 2024), compared to the same period last year, Trend reports.

According to data from the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), Iran exported about 401,000 tons of non-oil products, valued at approximately $272 million to Uzbekistan in 10 months.

In the same period last year, Iran’s non-oil exports to Uzbekistan stood at about 332,000 tons worth $229 million.

Over the 10th month alone (December 22, 2023 through January 20, 2024), Iran exported 37,200 tons of goods worth $24.3 million to Uzbekistan.

The main export items were milk and dairy products, petrochemical products, various types of pipes, glassware, agricultural equipment, etc. during those six months.

IRICA’s latest data shows that Iran exported a total of 113 million tons of non-oil products valued at $40.5 billion in the first ten months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2023 through January 20, 2024). This represents an 11 percent drop in value but a 9.4 percent rise in volume compared to the same period last year.
