BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 17. Azerbaijan is working to transition its various platforms and mobile applications into a unified space under the "mygov" system, Chairperson of the Innovation and Digital Development Agency under the Ministry of Transport, Communications, and High Technologies of Azerbaijan Inara Valiyeva discussed the initiative during a Q&A session at the presentation of the updated "mygov" e-government platform, Trend reports.
"Modern digitalization requires not only the creation of convenient platforms and applications but also a thoughtful approach to their implementation and promotion among the public. Integrating all government services into a single platform is a long and complex process. Before we consolidate everything into one place, various platforms and mobile applications were developed and deployed, which were popular. Now, our task is to ensure that these solutions transition smoothly into a unified space where any citizen can access government services as simply and conveniently as possible," she said.
Valiyeva emphasized the need for public support, noting that the process requires the involvement of all stakeholders, especially the media.
"We really need support. We are confident that coercive measures will not achieve the results we aim for. Our approach is to make the service as user-friendly as possible so that people come to us and say, 'Why should I download another app when I already have mygov, which provides all the necessary functions?'" she noted.
The chairperson added that a key aspect is user comfort and effective communication with them.
"We do not seek to force anyone to use our app. Our goal is to provide citizens with maximum convenience and transparency, leaving the choice up to them," she explained.
