Azerbaijan is eager to acquire the third airliner AN-100, produced at Kharkov State aviation enterprise, AZAL state air company told Trend.
“Earlier the airliner was supposed to arrive in Azerbaijan late this November, whilst the term of production postponed it to December. The fourth airliners will be more probably delivered early 2006,” he underlined.
A contract between AZAL and Kharkov state aviation enterprise on delivery of four airliners РђРЅ-140-100 was signed on 8 July 2004. It stipulates training of pilot-technical crew and technical support to the airliner. The cost of the contract is $36.4m ($9.1m each).
"All airliners will be used both within and out of borders of Azerbaijan, which will enable to survive a market of deliveries in the region,” the official of AZAL underlined.
