The International Finance Corporation (IFC) will take a decision on funding of leasing operations of one more bank till the end of the first quarter, the IFC spokeswoman in Azerbaijan Aliya Nuriyeva told Trend. Funding is supposed by the program of the leasing development in Central Asian countries and Azerbaijan. The programs total budget is $30 million, from which $5 million have been allocated for UniBank only.
В"The organization, claiming for the IFC resources is to have active leasing operations, Nuriyeva thinks. According to her, at this stage Bank of Baku will receive technical assistance on leasing. There is also the application from the Azerigazbank daughter company, AG Leasing to be considered by IFC.
According to her, the assessment of one bank, which is to receive the package funding for leasing operations and development of small and medium size entrepreneurship is already finished. Opening of the credit line for one more bank is expected. Applications for receiving credit resources have been submitted by Azerigazbank and Rabitabank.
