There is no necessity for acquiring large number of dry cargo

At present, there is no necessity for acquiring the large number of dry cargo for the Caspian Steam Navigation, a governmental source informed Trend. It is related to the absence of large number of cargos for increasing the number of transportation, said the same source.

At present, the dry cargo fleets of the Caspian steam navigation of Azerbaijan consist of 35 vessels. 11 out of them are moving on Caspian borders and others in the Caspian basin.

According to the statement of the head of the Russian shipbuilding plant Grasnoe Sormovo, this plant holds negotiations with Azerbaijan and Dutch companies for signing an agreement on building of 20 motor ships.

We hold negotiations with Azerbaijan State Caspian Steam Navigation on building of 10 dry-cargo motor ships. In the near future, Steam Navigation will submit us the agreement project, said general director of the plant. This enterprise realizes the building of 13,000-tone tankers for the Caspian Steam Navigation. The building of two tankers will be completed in this year.
