Anti-monopoly Department of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economic Development toughened the state control over advertisement activities in Azerbaijan. It is planned to periodically hold monitoring of the street and wall advertisement, advertisement in transport means and postal senders, as well as on radio and television to increase the efficiency of the state control, Trend reports with reference to the statement of the Ministry.
In addition, it is intended to establish registry of the advertisement agencies, advertisement spreaders and producers functioning in the territory of Azerbaijan. If law breaks are revealed, necessary steps will be taken.
Anti-monopoly Department also has the authority to apply financial sanctions to the facilities disseminating illegal advertisement.
