Ganja Car Model Presented

A presentation of the car model Ganja of the Ganja Motor Assembling Works has been held in Ganja today.

According to the Chief Engineer, Vahid Mammadov, an assembly of six variations of the large-capacity motorcar Ganja has been launched now, Trend Regional Correspondent reports.

Components of 16 cars have been delivered to the Ganja Works from China within the first stage. It is proposed to increase this number up to 200. Depending upon the cars' modifications, their total weight will range between 1,240 - 2,780 kg. The price of the cars will be AZN 6,700- 10,000. Four of them will work on diesel and petrol. The petrol consumption is 6 liters per 95 km. The length of the car is 5.5 meters, the width 2 meters.

According to Khanlar Fatiyev, Director of the Ganja Motor Works, at present all components and spare parts are being delivered from China. 10 12% of all the component and spare parts are expected to be produced in the factory from the end of the year. Mr. Fatiyev pointed out that assembly of the vehicles will be carried out on an area of 10,000 sq. meters of the factory. Welding and painting work is expected to be carried out on the additional 10,000 sq. meters until the end of the year.

Other work expected to be launched are the production of micro buses Ganja on the basis of large-capacity lorries.

Mr. Fatiyev pointed out that work is underway in establishing ties with new companies. According to him, after the construction of the motorcar works in Nakhchivan is completed, 520 Rifan car models will be assembled there.
