Land Rover debuts 2008 LR2 in U.S.

(autoinsidernews) - Land Rover today unveiled its new premium compact SUV, the 2008 Land Rover LR2, at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The LR2 is the fourth new model launched from Land Rover in just four years, joining the Range Rover (2002), Land Rover LR3 (2004) and Range Rover Sport (2005) that has led to record-breaking sales around the world.

New from the ground up, Land Rover LR2 was designed to deliver outstanding on-road performance as well as Land Rover traditional off-road ability, reports Trend.

The all-new 2008 Land Rover LR2 includes a brand-new Volvo-derived 230-hp 3.2L inline-six engine mated to a new six-speed automatic transmission, with Land Rover's CommandShift for manual sequential gear changes, and a driver-selectable sport mode for livelier performance.
