Organized by Baku Steel Company (BSC), the second scientific practical conference of Azerbaijani metallurgists will take place in Baku. The conference will take place on the eve of the Metallurgy Day in the second half of July 2007, and the exact date will be defined in the future, Trend reports with reference to the Company.
The conference will focus on the ferrous metallurgy and non-ferrous metallurgy, physical metallurgy, metallurgy and construction, metallurgy and ecology, metallurgy and economy, metallurgy and employment, etc.
The event will bring together representatives of the scientific-educational institutions, private companies, scientific research organizations, as well as representatives of the foreign countries.
The first conference had been held by the Company in July 2005 and brought together the representatives of the higher educational institutions, National Academy of Sciences and the companies involved in this area. As a result of that conference, a brochure was published, comprising of reports of the conference participants.
Baku Steel Company is one of the big taxpayers of the country, with a production capacity of 350,000 tons annually and more than 2,000 employees.
