Budget Expenditures Growth in Azerbaijan in 2006 Led to Increase in Monetary Factors Impact on Inflation Rate

According to the econometrical model of the National Bank of Azerbaijan (NBA), 77,2% fell at monetary factors in the formation of 11,4% of the inflation.

As Trend has been informed by NBA, the increase in monetary factors in the reporting period was linked with NBA converting the National Currency, 97% out of which was carried out to finance budget expenditures. The growth of money supply was 75%. The significant increase of the money supply fell at February-October, 2006. The share of the face efficient rate on the non-oil sector in the formation of the annual-calculated inflation rate had a flat meaning вЂ" at the level of 2,2%, however the rate in February-October, 2006 increased by 3%.

Starting from the preceding month, the impact of the non-monetary factors on the inflation rate was set up to decrease. In 2006, in the formation of consumer prices, the share of non-monetary factors was at the level of 22,8%. At the same time, the share of the administratively-regulated prices in the reporting period was 19%. It is linked with the increase in prices on diesel fuel in January, 2006 вЂ" by two times, kerosene вЂ"by 1,3 times, sugar вЂ" 35,4%. The influence of season factors was at the zero level, where the prices fell down in May-August, 2006 due to the winter season by 4,5%, while due to the winter season, the prices went down in January-April, and September-December, 2006 by 4,5%.
