Khalilova / The second meeting of 2007 of the Supervisory Board of the Azerbaijani Export and Investments Promotion Fund (AZPROMO) will be held on 26 May, the president of the Fund, Emil Majidov said on 22 May. The meeting will be held with an expanded membership. The need for the meeting was caused by a change in arrangements for this year.
"At the initiatives of our partners we have developed several calendars on business forums, conferences and presentations regarding exhibitions, publications and marketing research. The plan needs slight changes due to the occurrence of new trends," Majodov said. The calendars will be submitted to the Supervisory Board for further consideration.
About seven to eight marketing researches, 60 trade missions and conferences, ten exhibitions and ten publications are expected to be held by the end of 2007.
A date for the regular meeting of the Trustee Council suggested at around the middle of July will be fixed during the meeting. The Supervisory Board will consider requests for membership to the Trustee Council. According to Majodov, there are five to six organizations eager for membership, but the list may be extended.
18 new members were admitted to the council in February. Formerly, the council had 74 members, with over 50 of them representing companies and holdings.
