Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. I.Khalilova / Berner Menyer, the manager of the Russian branch of Nestle, has reported that Nestle, the world's biggest producer of foods, plans to expand export of its production to Azerbaijan.
Economic cooperation among Russia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Belarus is restored to Soviet Union levels. With this in mind, Nestle is planning to increase the sale rate by 14% in Russia in 2007.
The sale rate in the Russian Federation must reach $2bln by 2010.
"We have great plans for the CIS countries. The volume of selling in these countries is likely to exceed the similar figure in Russia. The potential capacity of these countries is great," Menyer said.
Presently, Nestle, the biggest producer of foods; it occupies seventh place among the biggest companies in Europe and the twenty-sixth in the world.
Some 253,000 people work for Nestle. Nestle is in possession of 511 factories and industrial enterprises in eighty-six countries worldwide, including twelve based in Russia. The total volume of product sales totaled 87.9bln Swiss francs in 2003.
Nestle possesses stocks in the perfumery-cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries.
