Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend I.Khalilova / In autumn the Government of Azerbaijan intends to continue bilateral talks with the European Union and USA with regards to Azerbaijan's entrance into the World Trade Organization (WTO), said the Secretary-in-Charge of the State Commission on Azerbaijan's Entrance into the WTO, Adalat Muradov, on 6 July. The first bilateral talks with the European Union took place on 24 May in Brussels and USA - 20 June. They demand liberalizing the service sector. They suggest to open markets in financial, communication sector, as well as distribution service.

According to Muradov, the positions of the EU and USA are different on audiovisual market and therefore, it is difficult to reach a compromise. "It is clear that the process of Lithuania's entrance into the WTO delayed for a year due to the questions on audiovisual mark," Muradov said.

The EU demands special preferences for itself in the audiovisual market, but the USA categorically protests against it. In addition, Azerbaijan is proposed to make amendments to the land legislation to enable to carry out each operation (purchase-sale).

Further, problems remain on construction-architectural services. The USA demands eliminating limitations in the market of architectural projecting and construction companies, particularly with regard to the entry of the foreign engineering-technical employees to these markets.

Moreover, the EU and USA requires liquidating limitations for permits to open branches of foreign banks and limitations in the insurance market.
