Azerbaijan, Baku, 30 July/ Trend , corr E. Ismayilov/ The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) will complete the construction of new gas-turbine station in two years which will supply Oil Rocks and Gunashli fields with energy, Oil Rocks petroleum and gas extracting administration said. At present, work is carried out to prepare the site for the new station.
"We plan to complete the construction of new gas-turbine station in 2010 to supply Oil Rocks and Gunashli fields with energy," the Administration said.
The construction work has begun in the first quarter of 2008. The other details of the realization of this project are not divulged, Administration said. Petroleum and gas extracting administration possesses four energy generating facilities.
Oil Rocks petroleum and gas extracting administration plans to launch a total of 20 new development wells by 2009. These measures are carried out in line with the decree of the Azerbaijani president to increase output of this administration from 812,000 tons of oil to 1.2mln tons (by 1.5 times). The total oil output of the field will make up 936,420 tons in 2008. The Administration plans to put up oil output up to 1,200,000 tons by 2009.
