Azerbaijan, Baku, 23 September / Trend / In January to August, 2008, Z.Tagiyev Oil & Gas Production Unit of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) produced about 45,200 tons of oil, 5.7% up from the forecast, official press said.
About 44,800 tons of the total volume of the oil produced by the Unit in January to August was handed over to the State.
As for 1 September, there were 286 oil and 3 gas wells operated by the Z.Tagiyev Oil & Gas Production Unit, with 150 acting and 139 idle.
