A winner of a tender which was announced by the Russian gas monopolist Gazprom on analysis and forecast the technical condition of Mozdok-Kazi-Magomed's pipelines was Diagnostics, Ecology and Press Coverage Limited Liability Company (LLC), Gazprom's official Web site reported.
The Gazprom Transgas Makhachkala's competitive commission decided to announce Diagnostics, Ecology and Press Coverage LLC as the winner.
Gazprom at the end of last year and earlier this year announced three tender on geological diagnosis of the Mozdok-Kazi-Magomed pipeline, penalization of pipes on Mozdok-Kazi-Magomed pipeline with the total length of 31 kilometres and analysis and forecast the technical condition of pipelines (Mozdok-Kazi-Magomed).
Gazprom Transgaz Makhachkala will finance the work on the pipeline.
Earlier, by the decision of the Gazprom Transgaz Makhachkala competitive commission, the tender on geological diagnosis of the Mozdok-Kazi-Magomed pipeline was declared invalid because of only one application for participation was submitted
Earlier natural gas was transported via the pipeline from Russia to Azerbaijan. The pipeline's capacity is 10 billion cubic metres. Since 2007, Azerbaijan does not purchase gas from Russia.
In the end of December, the Gazprom and the Socar held talks to launch gas supplies from Azerbaijan to Russia.
Gazprom intends to buy the full export volume in the second phase of development of the Shah Deniz field, Socar senior official said earlier. The gas supply produced by Socar in its own fields is reviewed. In particular, the possible gas supplies from Azerbaijan to Dagestan are also considered. The next round of talks between the Socar and Gazprom is scheduled for this month.
In 2009, Socar will produce roughly 8 billion cubic metres of gas from its own fields.
