In January 13,200 tons of bitumen was produced in Azerbaijan, compared to 5,950 ton sin 2008, SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic) reported.,
A total of 220,370 tons of oil bitumen in 2008 and 182,860 tons in 2007 were produced in Azerbaijan.
In 2006, SOCAR produced 161,940 tons of bitumen.
